DirectOrder

DirectOrder is where you can place your printing orders at the wholesale prices.
 
Depending on the product that you choose and the quantity, you are charged the wholesale price. Click "View Pricing" to see wholesale prices. If you are located in Missouri, tax is added to the wholesale price. On business cards, you are charged $10.00 if you upload a back image with the front image.
 
You can upload JPEG, TIFF, PSD, or EPS files. If you like, you can use Winzip to compress the files (the file size will be smaller). Please only zip one of the four image formats.
 
You only pay thewholesale pricing (w/ applicable tax) to Printing Automation for the printing product, then you can charge the customer your retail pricing. For example, if someone wants 1000 Brochures, you can design the brochures and collect a check from your customer for the total. Then you can go online and submit the order. Instead of waiting for your monthly retail markup check, you make the profit immediately!
 


Account Information

When an order is placed on your MyStudio site or a Company or Topic site you have created, an e-mail is sent to the one listed at the "My Information" page. Make sure that you have a valid e-mail address to receive e-mail order notifications.
 
If you do not have a Tax ID #, you can put "none" in the text box. However, if you are a company, we must have your Tax ID #.
 
Get one. There are many free e-mail services online (i.e. Hotmail). Sign up, learn how to use it, and check it when you have time. E-mail is the way we communicate with you about orders, new features, and more products.
 
Fill out the "Tech Support" form requesting a new password (your old password cannot be retrieved). We will call and verify that you indeed have lost your password, and will set it to what you want.
 


MyStudio

This is your main "Studio." Put a link on your company's website to go here for online printing services. With your MyStudio site, you have access to the standard themes added by Printing Automation, and you can create your own. You can even add to our themes! Just name your theme to one that we have all ready and for your MyStudio that background will be a selection.
 
You can "Add Themes," "Edit Themes," or "Delete Themes." Themes help categorize your backgrounds and make it easier for someone on your MyStudio to find what they want. When you add themes you are adding backgrounds that the user can choose from. If you uploaded the wrong image or chose the wrong layout, all you need to do is edit your theme. If you have a background that you don't care for anymore, simply delete a theme.
 
When you change your MyStudio pricing, all you need to do is set the quantities you don't want to offer to "0.00" or any value below wholesale. If you have an entire product you don't want to offer, make all the quantities values below wholesale.
 
Once a background is deleted, there is no way to retrieve it. Go to the "Add Themes" page and re-upload your deleted background.
 


Companies & Topics

The way you use them is to first find a company that would need an online printing site. Lots of businesses have reps, and all those reps need business cards and other products. You can go to these companies that have 20-100+ reps and show them an online solution for their printing so their reps can easily order printing. By designing several backgrounds for a company, they have more options to try and stand out.
 
Targeting an industry can be very beneficial. Like company sites, target an industry that uses reps to promote their business (i.e. Cellular Phone Industry). For topic sites, you can be very creative in your backgrounds. The more options the better. Once you set up a topic site, make sure you promote it!
 
The pricing you see when you go to "Create New Site" is from your MyStudio pricing. Of course, you can change this pricing as needed for your new site.
 
Yes. There is no way to retrieve deleted images.
 
When you "Change Company Pricing" you can also update the company name (which is displayed at the top of the site) and the ID.
 
When you "Change Topic Pricing" you can also update the topic name (which is displayed at the top of the site) and the ID.
 
This is a "unique identifier" so that each site you create is not confused with other sites you have created, or that others have created. We suggest creating your own ID system so you can track your orders and sites easily.
 
Your MyStudio site is located at http://www.printingautomation.com/businesscardsusacom/ so any new site you create will be after the /businesscardsusacom/. Therefore, if you create a Topic Site for hair salons, the folder may be called "hairsalon". The site would be at:
http://www.printingautomation.com/businesscardsusacom/hairsalon/
 
The only way you have a "Folder Currently Used" error is if you have made a site using that folder name. Click "View a Site" to see what company or topic uses that folder name. Then you can decide whether to remove it, update it, or otherwise.
 


Support

We are open Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM central time zone. However, someone is usually in the office until late at night.
 
If you can access our site, you should be able to download a file from us. Check your internet connection, and if you still have problems contact your service provider. Note: The files we have for download are compressed with WinZip. Download WinZip to open the files. If this does not fix your problem, please fill out a technical support request.

If you need some help, that's what we are here for. Tech Support will e-mail you regarding questions you have and there will not be any additional fees unless we inform you of them. Any extra charges must be approved by you prior to the charge taking place.
 
In Photoshop, after you create your background, click FILE at the top. Scroll down to SAVE FOR WEB and click on it. A new window will open. Choose JPEG as the file format and set the quality to 100. Click OK and save your JPEG. When it is time to upload your background, click "Browse" and go to the directory where you saved your background. When you find it, double-click on the image. Make any other changes, such as layout or product, then click "Upload."
 

 
General Studio Questions
 
We are writing layouts for other products as quickly as possible. Giving you more power over your sites is priority one.
 
Layouts let the user make changes to a Background. Visit your MyStudio, choose the product you want to see layouts for (only products with pricing show up), select a Background (if you added one), and click "Layout" to view current layouts.
 
This is dependent on a user's monitor settings. The product images generated online may look dark or bright to the user, but we assure you the highest quality of product, in both color and clarity.
 
A normal business card may be 1-3 Megabytes depending on the format used. If the user is on a 56K modem, this may take 2-5 minutes. Therefore, if the user is uploading a 30 Megabyte brochure, their browser may time out or they may cancel before the upload is complete. We are working on a solution so modem users can order products that may be large file sizes.
